Welcome to Gearflow's (long overdue) product newsletter! Each month, I’ll share the highlight reel of product changes and updates we’re working on to make your life easier.
Why are we sending this?
1. We’re constantly rolling out new features that you may not know about (but should!).
2. Your feedback fuels everything we build — so keep it coming! I invite you to reply back to these emails whenever a question, issue or idea pops in your head.
Let's get into it...
📱 Request parts hands-free from your phone
Mechanics, this one’s for you. Soon, you’ll be able to request the parts you need out in the field — without greasy hands getting in your way. This is our first step toward reimagining Gearflow's mobile app with mechanics in mind. We're excited to get your feedback and make dealing with parts and work orders on-the-go much easier.
Download the Gearflow mobile app and try out a talk-to-text parts request, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
⚡️ Auto-build your parts lists + predict future needs
I think every single Gearflow user helped us build this one — you can now easily view and search the entire list of parts your company has purchased and reference by machine. But there's more. Gearflow will also build recommendations of parts you might need to buy next based on your purchase history. As Dan Maitland says, we want to take the guesswork out of parts.
✅ Partially receive orders
You can now mark individual parts as “received” on orders. Waiting on multiple shipments? Mark items as received as they arrive! Special thanks to all who requested this one and for hanging with us.
💥 Let AI look up part numbers for you
No one likes to hunt down part numbers. That's why we're creating AI-powered part number lookups. Pick your machine, describe the part, and let AI handle the rest. We’ll suggest the part number, share schematics (when available), and recommend other parts you might need.
Note: We are building this feature for Cat machines only (for now) — please reach out if you're interested in testing it yourself!
What do you want us to work on next? Share your feedback and we’ll keep pushing to make Gearflow even better!
